Peter Singer is a moral philosopher who popularised the term speciesism. This is the idea that humans have greater moral rights than other living beings.
Why does singer oppose speciesism
Believed that all living beings should be treated equally. He believes that to treat humans differently to other animals is the same as treating one race differently to another.

Many believe quality of life is more important than whether it’s sacred
If life is relatively free from pain and if we live with freedom and dignity then we have what’s considered a good quality of life
