A

Governor of Louisiana - Believed the new deal hadn’t gone far enough - Wanted to create a policy that guaranteed minimum wage and limited the wage of the rich

A

Set up Old Age Revolving Pension Plan - everyone over the age of 60 who was retired should get a pension of $200 a month

What was Roosevelts Lend-lease policy?

A

FDR believed isolationism did more harm than good, so created policy that would lend or lease weapons to countries that the USA believed needed it. Britain received $7 billion of lend-lease support

Created new jobs in manufacturing of weapons - doubled output
Food production rose by 1/3
17 million new civilian jobs were created
Industrial productivity increased by 96%
