Q

explain this process of filtration

A

blood flows into the glomereulus through the afferent arteriole, passes through capillaries and comes out of the efferent arteriole
the capillaires become narrow close to the exit which increases blood pressure and forces protein free blood into bowmans capsule
this is now filtrate and it travels down to nephron

Q

explain this process of selective reabsorption

A

dissolved substances in filtrate are reabsorbed into blood through selective movement from the nephron tubule back into capillaries by active transport

Q

explain the process of faculative reabsorption

A

active process of reabsorbing water and urea in the distal convoluted tube and collecting duct under hormone control
anti dieuretic hormone changes permeability to absorb more or less
