where does the deep facsia lie?
beneath the platysma muscle
what layers is the deep fascia split into?

describe the layout of the investing fascia
anterior attachment at the hyoid bone
posterior attachment at the nuchal ligament
splits to encapsulate the sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles
what are the contents of the pretracheal fascia?

describe the path of the SCM
starts level with the orophrarynx
runs underneath SCM
ends at the level of the 1st rib in the mediastinum
