‘Luke associates the coming of the kingdom not only in the preaching but also with the mighty works of Jesus which are signs of the activity of God. the coming of the kingdom is firmly tied historically with the ministry of Jesus

From the beginning of the gospel what does Luke portray Jesus as?
The king and ruler of the kingdom that shall last forever
What point did Jesus highlight ?
That even the least in the kingdom of God was greater than the greatest person. This is not because of any personal qualities, but because those in the kingdom belong to the time of fulfilment.

Warned of the need for judgement and repentance, and he placed great emphasis on the saving nature of the kingdom

A present reality in him, and also as something that would be established in the future
