Register: informal, formal, semi-formal, mostly informal etc.

Mode/domain: how does it communicate? handwritten, spoken, digital, sign etc.

Social purpose:

Context: what is happening - time, place, background info etc.

descriptive: of a single element, object, place, etc.

argumentative: present a point of view, takes a side.

instructive: teach, show.
