What is echoic memory?

A

Auditory form of sensory memory that allows us to register information in its entirety so we can make sense of it.

16
Q

What is episodic memory?

A

A type of explicit memory that is the memory of personally experienced events.

17
Q

What is semantic memory?

A

A type of explicit memory that is the memory of facts or knowledge that’s already learnt.

18
Q

What is procedural memory?

A

A type of implicit memory which is the memory of motor skills and actions that have been learnt previously which occurs after practice.

19
Q

What are classically conditioned memories?

A

The remembrance of conditioned responses to conditioned stimuli, particularly involving fear or anxiety.

20
Q

What is chunking?

A

A technique that helps increase the capacity of long-term memory by grouping the information.
