Describe the stage.
A
The horizontal platform upon which slide rests.

Describe the diaphragm.
A
Found beneath the stage and controls the amount of light that passes through the specimen to be viewed

A
Located on either side of the arm. Moves the stage (or body tube) up or down to the correct distance from the objective for viewing.
