In the west of the UK due:
- Rainfall over the mountains in the west
- The prevailing winds are from the SW over the Atlantic
- The most common rainfall is frontal rainfall which comes in from the Atlantic Ocean.

Areas that do not have enough rainfall compared to population. Such as the SE of England (London)
