what where the physical causes of the flood?
the ground was already saturated from previous rain impermeable rock and thin soil rapid runoff into river confluence of river valence and Jordan high tide
what where the human causes of the flood?
bridges where very low so acted as a dam when debris got caught water piled up and eventually burst into a big wave.
many roads and buildings built near river damage worse
what where the primary impacts of the flood?
around 50 cars and caravans were swept out to sea

what was the new management put in place to prepare for when it happens again?
£4,600,000 spent on raising car park, moving and raising bridge and lowering and widening of river
at risk property’s suggested to use flood resistant materials and raise wires
emergency action plan and advice plan
flood again less damage
