- it is more intimate than just father and it would be equivalent of a child calling their father daddy
- however it would never be used to talk about God
- it is an intimate relationship with god
- teaches people the our father
- god as a parent, love to sinners and outcasts
- a god they can put their trust in

- satan convincing Jesus to worship him (and he would give Jesus the whole world aka kingdom and wealth)

he resists the temptations because he worships the lord, his father and serves him only
