Authority and Responsibility-Authority grants an individual the right in relaying orders and demand obedience. Responsibility is a byproduct of authority and the two go hand in hand. In the realm of authority, sanctions can be used to discourage actions which are not conducive or set objectives. Responsibility must be undertaken in deciding when sanctions should be applied. A leader should also compel those around him to take on and accept responsibility. A high degree of integrity on the part of a manager will prevent the abuse of power
