The industrial The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes in the period from about 1750 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. This transition included going from hand production methods to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes, improved efficiency of water power, the increasing use of steam power, and the development of machine tools. Starting in Britain, it spread all throughout Europe and around the developing world.

It took place in Britain in the 18th and 19th century (around 1750 – 1914)
Who was involved (individuals, societies, nations)?
Many nations in Europe. As it started In Britain, it spread throughout Europe. All the people inside their countries and nations were affected as the Industrial revolution changed the way everything worked.
How did society change as a result of the Industrial Revolution (at the time)?
With many new technologies and innovations, working changed. Factories were replaced with machinery that was capable of producing more and more, faster and faster. Certain productions were produced more efficiently and caused a changing boost in the economies. This also boosted the start of things such as transport which caused communications to sky rocket and add to the rapidly changing world. It became a wealthier world to live and gave new working experiences and opportunities.
What impact has the Industrial Revolution had on modern society?
The way things worked before the industrial revolution were terrible. Child labour, unfair work, horrible conditions and a lifetime of struggle. Because of this industrial revolution, things evolved and changed for the better and important things such as production, the economy and infrastructure were forever changed and even in our modern world we see where the industrial revolution has had its impact for the better.
