Because members of the RIC couldnt join and it was also used as an kind of cover for the IRB with alot of IRB members in the GAA.

It has a big impact because it brings the community together and sometimes GAA pitches can be used for big community events.

It has moved by adding more rules to the game and removing Rule 27 which didnt allow members of the GAA to watch or play foreign sporta.

It affected it because some loyalists (extreme unionists) belived it to be a ‘nursery school’ for republicians and nationalists. This led to some murders.

They banned rule 21 which didnt allow members of the British army and RUC from being members of the GAA.
