Considered man as a part of the natural world and the product of evolution humans are closely related to primates especially it but have develop physical features humans also shared the so-called primal instinct such as survival and reproduction with other animals humans have progressed and develop additional traits and capabilities planning and intentional action innovation and creativity communication through language and writing technology and symbolic interactions as evidenced by religion and art the development of culture is considered man’s most significant achievement which sets apart the evolution of humanity from other species on this planet
Biological perspective
Places emphasis on human behavior and thought processes in analyzing human nature men possesses awareness a sense of self and the capacity to perceive and experience the significant mental faculties and capabilities of man include the psyche refers to the human mind and is divided into the conscious mind governs awareness and unconscious mind consists of latent or repressed emotions version rationality state of being reasonable intelligence the ability to perceive information store knowledge and apply it and various situations and introspection the ability to examine one’s conscious thoughts feelings and mental state and the capacity for self-reflection
Psychological perspective
Focuses on man’s ability to engage in productive activities to meet his needs and wants this perspective emerged in the 19th century and emphasize the economic man homo economicus driven by rationality and self-interest in his desire to possess wealth this perspective considers man as a productive being a man’s rule is to produce and engage in labor economic forces are considered a more significant influence on man’s actions done society or culture
Economic perspective
Considers man as god’s creation man is considered to have a special relationship with the creator being created in his image and given an immortal spirit
