Group of tissue that performs specific function
ex: stomach breaks down food, kidney maintains water and salt balance
Systems
Group of organs working together for a common purpose
Ex: cardiovascular system

Refer to the body when it is vertical and facing front
Regions of the body
Refers to specific organ, area, or bone in the upper body
Middle (abdominal and pelvic)
Larger divisions (4 quadrants)
Smaller divisions (9 regions)

(Top) Right hypochondriac, epigastric, left hypochondriac
(Middle) right lumber, umbilical, left lumbar
