Long span of time to be interviewing for - both parties have to be highly experienced to sustain that.

Lexis
Anaphora of indefinite article “a” in “a sense of” - maintains fluency and cohesion of his policies- easy to follow separating different aspects of his widely thought dream
Abstract noun “sense”= not definite - not making unrealistic policies knowing the voters will remember this interview
Polysyndeton of the conjunction “and” is used as a discourse marker illustrating the extensive nature of his knowledge is also a common feature of speaking so would be expected
Alternatively monosyllabic lexis used at that frequency possibly not expected due to his high level of education and experience in public speaking.
Metaphorical lexis “building a platform” sustained metaphor throughout text active verb “building” connotes growth and a continuous nature of his policies “platform” metaphorical noun portraying opportunities and creative freedom for America ti be reshaped.
Perspective
Collective possessive pronoun “we” used to place himself upon the same level as the Americans resulting in an enhanced interest in voting for him
But also uses person pronoun “I” to maintain jurisdiction stating his policies matter of factly as he has the power to do so

This was all intertwined in his first answer to the question- this portrays the imperative nature of community to him- first priority
