he was seen as a man of authority because he was a centurian, meaning that he was apart of the backbone of the roman army, responsible for their discipline regiment, and were the cement that held the army together
explain why the centurian went to jesus
he went to jesus because his servant was ill and he wouldve done anything in his power to save him
how did the centurian’s attitude differ from the normal attitude towards master and servant
his attitude differed because he saw his servant as a friend unlike other masters who saw their slaves as things and didnt care if they were dead or alive
why would jesus be breaking the law if he helped the centurian
he would be breaking the law because the centurian was a gentile and jesus was a jew, and according to jewish law, a jew could not enter the house of a gentile, because they were considered unclean
