Scutage was a medieval English tax levied on holders of a knight’s fee

A sense of duty and the opportunity for adventure and plunder
How were armies provisioned?
Requisitioning, weapon stores, supply depots and pillaging
What was training like in this period?
Non-permanent. Mounted knights had tournaments, archery targets were set up in towns but were only used at every feast and holiday
