- Omnibenevolent= All loving
- Immaterial= He has no physial form
- Creator= God created the universe
- Transcendent= Is not part of the universe
- Immanent= God is ivolved with creation
- Infinite= No begining or end.
what is the design argument?
it is an argument for the existence of God or an intelligent creator “based on evidence of deliberate design in the natural or physical world”.
Can u give an example of when a design argument was first inroduced?
William Paley’s book about the watch maker, which says that if a watch has a maker a object like a (leaf) with a design suited for its environment must have an maker
What is the causation argument?
The world is God therefore proving he exists. Paley’s Watch Argument Causation is a process where one thing causes another thing to happen. This is often known as cause and effect. It is a feature of the world, and whatever we do has an effect.
Give a definition and example of Moral evil.
Something caused by humans e.g. war, Global warming, terroism.
Give a definition and example of Natural evil
Something that naturally occurs or caused e.g. diseases, a huricane, starvation.
Explain why the problem of evil challenges Gods existence.
- That an omni-benevolent God would want to stop evil
- An omnipotent God would know how to stop evil.
- evil exists therefore God does not.
