- Must be 35 years old
- must be a natural born U.S. citizen - must have lived in U.S. for at least 14 years

- serves a 4 year term
- may only serve 2 terms
- maximum of 10 years
What is the impeachment process?
The president may be removed from office through the process of impeachment. Charges are brought against - must be convicted to be removed from office
What are the rules for impeachment?
- The House of Representatives may impeach with a majority vote
- Must commit crimes of treason, bribery, or other high crimes or misdemeanors
