Where to and why did the PG move the Romanovs?
A
- The royal family were living in a palace close to Petrograd at first
- The PG moved them to Siberia as they were afraid of civilians attacking them

When, why and where did the Bolsheviks move the Tsar’s family to?
A
- Siberia was surrounded by the Whites in April 1918
- The family was moved to the Ural Mountains

List the events leading to the Romanovs’ death.
A
- 4th July 1918: the local Cheka start to guard the family
- 2am on 17th July: the family were led to the basement

Who killed the Romanovs and how?
A
- Yakov Yurovsky accompanied by 6 Hungarians
- They shot the family to death, used acid and fire to hide their identities and hid the bodies
- Lenin did allow for this to go ahead

Why were the Romanovs killed?
A
- To prevent the Whites from uniting under a worthy cause
- Ekaterinburg itself fell to the Czechs 8 days after the Romanovs’ murder
