Give THREE reasons why William, Duke of Normandy, was successful in the Battle of Hastings.
He prepared well with a large army army and had good transportation. He had good leadership skills as he reassured his army in battle by taking his helmet off to reassure his survival, and he gave his troops ideas about attacks. He had luck as when Harold arrived, his troops were tired and William got wind which took him to the fight, and Harold dies in battle.
