“Eat and drink from what Allah has provided, and do not commit abuse on the earth by spreading corruption.” This means that Allah is telling us we’re allowed to use natural resources however don’t take advantage of them.

“You May ride on some of them and you may eat some of them. There also other uses in them for you to satisfy your heat’s desires. It’s on them as on ships, that you make your journeys.” This means you can eat animals but not abuse them.
