This poem talks about how humans mustrust each other and how people aren’t always what they seem. It also shows how people are scared of the unknown and change.

allows flow and keeps it quick paced just like an invasion
what is the extended metaphor
comparing the immigrants to mind invaders and that they are not welcomed.
Homes are important to everyone but the speaker seems to be saying that those coming in are not welcomed or understood.
