What is a gland?
An organ that produces and secretes different substances which are needed for the body to function
What are three differences between the nervous system and the endocrine system?
1) The nervous system has a fast response whilst the endocrine system has a slow response
2) The nervous system has a short response whilst the endocrine system has a longer response
3) The nervous system acts in a specific area whilst the endocrine system acts in a general area
What is the function of adrenaline/noradrenaline? What gland releases it?
Brings about fight or flight
Released from the adrenal gland
