Q

Where is the cerebellum located? What is it responsible for? What may happen if damaged?

Q

Where is the brain stem located? What does it connect? What is it responsible for?

A

Located below the cerebrum and cerebellum
Connects the spinal cord to the rest of the brain
Responsible for automatic functions: breathing, heartbeat, swallowing, digestion

Q

What is the function of the spinal cord?

A

Transmits information between the brain and the rest of the body + enables reflex’s to be performed with the involvement of the brain (pulling your hand away from a hot surface)
