Hitler proposed this to rhe reichstag. Since this act was designed to destroy the power if the reichstag.

It gave hitler most of Hidenburgs power.This allowed him to be a dictator.
SA intimidated, bribed and threatened a huge number of politicians.

A
He could use article 48 whenever he liked.
Placed a ban on all political parties.
He had power over calling elections.
He could only be the one to make new laws.
