What is the Earth’s crust?
A
The Earth is made up of several different layers. The outer layer is known as the crust and is made of solid rock.

What is the continental crust?
A
Some plates have land on top of them- this is known as continental crust.

What is an oceanic crust?
A
Other plates have oceans on top and are known as oceanic crust.

A plate is a large slab of the earth’s crust

what is the mantle ~
A
Found underneath the crust. Consists of molten and magma. It moves around in the form of very slow currents

A
Consists of liquid nickel and iron - this is MOLTEN

what is the inner core ~
A
The solid centre of the earth. Temperatures here are extremely high
