Part of the CNS that transfers messages between the brain and PNS
Somatic system
Part of the PNS that receives messages from the senses and directs the skeletal muscles to react and move
Autonomic system
Part of the PNS that transmits and receives information from the organs
Sympathetic nervous system
Part of the ANS that generally arouses the body and prepares it for action
Parasympathetic nervous system
Part of the ANS that generally calms and decreases bodily activities
