Socially acceptable behaviours are commonly those which are in accordance with the socially accepted set of values, morals, or religious beliefs
You are aware of the socially accepted behaviors in your society. You have adopted some sort of socially responsible behavior.
- Becoming socially responsible.
You have identified some principles in life to live by or selected models to imitate.
It involves identifying principles in life to live by or selecting models to imitate (parents, teacher, etc.)
- Acquiring a set of values to guide behavior.
Career goals are part of your personal goals and you are preparing for a career in the future.
Ideally, one of the milestone in being adolescent is finishing studies.
- Preparing for a job or career.
You have accepted that sooner or later you shall enter a married life and have children. You have acquired basic knowledge about entering married life, building a family, and child rearing.
- Making decisions about marriage and family life.
You already achieved emotional self-reliance. You carefully analyze options and consequences before exhibiting an emotion or coming up with a decision.
Emotionally independent from parents does not mean that your dependence on them has to be fully lost.
- Becoming more self-sufficient.
You accepted the bodily changes that go with adolescence and you are at ease with your new body physique.
You must be on guard against diseases and keep away from bad vices. (taking drugs, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, etc.)
- Accepting one’s physical body and keeping it healthy.
You interact with fellow adolescents of both sexes in more matured ways.
You have a smooth inter-personal relationship with others regardless of their gender.
You learn to be a leader without dictating.
- Learning to get along with friends of both sexes.
