What happened on the 1st day?
God created light. He seperated it from the dark and called the light ‘day’ and the dark ‘night’.
What happened on the 2nd day?
God made the sky.
What happened on the 3rd day?
God seperated the waters from the dry ground and created plants.
What happened on the 4th day?
God created the Sun, the Moon and the stars.
What happened on the 5th day?
God created birds and sea creatures.
What happened on the 6th day?
God created animals and God created humans ‘in his own image’. God gave humans authority over the world.
What happened on the 7th day?
God rested. God blessed the 7th day and made it holy.
What does ‘in his image’ mean when God creates humans?
It means that humans care about the same things that God cares about. Humans like justice, and God cares about justice too.
What do we learn about God in the Creation?
He is omnipotent - if he says something will happen, it happens.
What is the Creation like?
The Creation is perfect in its original state, reflecting its creator. Everything has its proper place in the Creation.
