Staff takes control/manages a potentially escalating situation by setting limits.

The total loss of control, resulting in a physical acting out episode.

Safe, non harmful control and restraint positions.
What is TENSION REDUCTION?
A decrease in physical and emotional energy following a crisis.
What is THERAPEUTIC RAPPORT?
An approach used to re-establish communication.
