Employed by the person charged, to create doubt in the minds of the jury

Can have guards depending on case, where the person charged sits
Public Seating
Anyone can sit in court (unless closed court/children’s court)
Jury
12 people, to listen to evidence and decide guilty or not guilty.
- anyone over 18 is eligible
- deaf, emergency service workers, doctors and lawyers can’t do jury duty
Judge (district/supreme)/ Magistrate (local)
Charged with making sure the trial is run according to the law

The clerk who specifically takes down every word in court

Police officer who swears in people
