What is the role of the president?
Chairs the meetings, gives direction to the meeting and to the club in general, acts as the clubs spokesperson and figurehead
What is the role of the vice- president?
Assists the president as required, carries out the president’s duties in their absence
Secretary
Carries out all of the written work associated with the club, keeps records of the proceeding of minutes in a meeting, deals with correspondence and issues notices of meetings to members.
What is the role of the treasurer?
Handles all the money, receives subscriptions, pays club expenses and presents a financial report at meetings as required

What are registered clubs?
Clubs that have special permission to provide liquor, food, gambling and entertainment to their members. Must pay taxes on poker machines.
What is a constitution?
The set rules and regulations of the club regarding the general running of it
What is the agenda?
A list of items to be dealt with during a meeting
What is a non-profit organisation?
An organisation that is not operating for the profit or gain of its individual members
