What do County Courts deal with?
PI claims. Some commercial disputes. And Money claims up till £100,000
What courts can have their decisions judicially reviewed?
The inferior courts.
What is the one instance where the Crown Court is treated as a superior court and their decision is not judicially reviewed?
When dealing with a trial on indictment.
Where do appeals from the High Court go?
Court of Appeal and sometimes Supreme Court

Supreme Court
What is a leapfrog appeal - this happens in Civil Cases such as in commercial disputes
Basically skipping the Court of Appeal.
Jumping from High Court straight to the Supreme Court.
What is the procedure for a leapfrog appeal?
(1) apply to judge at High Court within 14 days
(2) the case must be worthy enough to skip the queue straight to Supreme Court
(3) once certificate issued, apply to Supreme Court within 1 month
(4) file prescribed form and a transcript
(5) wait to see what Supreme Court says
Before people apply to the European Courts of Human Rights, what must they have done?
They must have applied and gone through the UK courts system. They have up till 4 months after a domestic decision to apply to a UK court.
Who are the key people in the Supreme Court?
Justices. There are 12 of them.
What is the name of the judges who sit on the Appeal Court?
The Lord/ Lady Justices of Appeal
