The Conservation Of Mass Flashcards

1
Q

State the conservation of mass

A

The law of conservation of mass means that before and after a chemical reaction, mass isn’t created or destroyed. For example, if you heat copper in the air, it reacts and creates copper oxide. The mass before and after the reaction should be the same because ᴀʟᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀᴛᴏᴍꜱ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴍᴏᴠᴇᴅ, there is still the same amount
