Arid:
A
- Vegetation is sparse and in some areas there is none.
- Plants have tough spikey leaves to conserve moisture
- Extremely hot with minimal rainfall (typically less than 10 inches per year)
- Examples of wildlife include: wild camels, sand cats, snakes, eagles and more

Semi-arid:
A
- Grass and some low bushes, but few trees
- Hot temperatures with little precipitation (typically between 10-20 inches per year)
- Examples of wildlife include: wolves, sand foxes, wild cats and gazelles

Mediterranean:
A
- A greater quantity and variety of vegetation such as deciduous forests, wild shrubs and flowers
- Hot dry summers and warm wet winters
- Examples of wildlife include: bears, squirrels and hamsters
