- made up of 16 countries including Palestine

A
> home to holy sites and a religious city (Mecca)
rich in oil and gas
home to one of the 7 wonders of the world (Petra in Jordan)
Dubai is the business and transport hub of the Middle East

The Middle East’s climate
A
- 80% of the Middle East is desert
- climate is extremely hot and dry
- different to UK –> UK has a temperate climate (cool, wet winters and warm, wet summers)
