Compounds -

A

When two or more elements chemically bond together. The elements always combine in fixed proportions (e.g. Hydrogen and fluorine always combine to form hydrogen fluoride)

A

Two or more substances not chemically combined that can be separated by physical means (e.g. a mixture of elements - nitrogen and oxygen)
