What are the two main structures of the CNS?
The two main structures of the CNS are the brain and the spinal cord.
What is the CNS?
The CNS is essentially the control centre of the body.
What is the brain?
The brain is the processing centre of the body.
What is the brain’s main concern?
The brain’s main concern is our survival.
How much percent does the cerebrum take up of our brain’s volume?
The cerebrum takes up around 90% of the brain’s volume.
What does the cerebellum do?
The cerebellum controls balance and coordinates complex muscle actions. we can all walk without falling over because of the cerebellum’s coordination.
What does the brain stem do?
It controls our unconscious or involuntary thoughts, including breathing, heart rate and digestion. It also connects directly to the spinal cord.
What is the importance of the spinal cord?
The spinal cord relays messages, Sends messages and responsible for you reflex actions. All the nerves that run through your body join up to the spinal cord.
