Q

The Schlieffen Plan

A

The Schlieffen Plan was designed to take the French off guard by going through Belgium to eliminate them early on which was a failure.

When they invaded Belgium it causes Britain to declare war on Germany. so it forced Germany to fight Britain and France on the Western front.

1) Reason it failed communication = the closer you got to the front the worst communication got so the generals were getting old and outdated news from stuff that had happened days ago.
