What is the cerebellum responsible for?
Balance, coordination, and movement
What is the primary motor cortex used for?
Voluntary movements
What does the primary somatosensory cortex control?
Touch, temp, and pressure - Sensory info about skin
What is the role of the parietal lobe?
Receives + processes sensory info
What does the occipital lobe control?
Distance, depth, face recognition
What is the striatum?
Subcortical area of forebrain
What does the cerebral cortex cover?
The whole brain
What does the corpus callosum do?
Connects hemispheres
What do ventricles contain?
Cerebrospinal fluid
Where is the pituitary gland located?
At the base of the brain
Where is the hypothalamus located?
Above the pituitary gland
