Called Olam Ha-Ba, the world to come
Refers to the afterlife, and to some, the Messianic Age
‘The world is like a lobby before Olam Ha-Ba
No specific teachings in the Torah on the afterlife, apart from references to Sheol

Q
Resurrection: Orthodox
A
- Most Orthodox Jews believe in some form of resurrection, and it is stated in daily prayers and funerals
- Some believe in a resurrection that includes the body as well as the soul, and so the body must be buried whole - no cremation
- This can be overridden for Pikuach Nefesh
These beliefs were supported by Maimonides
‘God will bring every deed into judgment’
