Originally humans were vegetarians but following the flood God allowed Noah and his family to eat meat
Forbidden are:
Some birds, Shellfish, fish without fins and scales, animals with split hooves, animals that do not chew the cut
Additionally, animals must killed using a method called Shechitah
Meat and dairy must be separate
