what are the 5K’s?
Kesh, Kara, Kirpan, Kara and Kaccha
What does the Kesh symbolise?
helps wearer learn to be appreciative of all God has Given- grateful for blessings
What does the Kara symbolise?
a reminder to the wearer to not do anything bad
What does the Kaccha symbolise?
God’s gift regarding control of the 5 Evils, especially lust
What does the Kirpan symbolise?
a metaphor for god, it may show that God is always with you
what does the kanga symbolise?
helps the holder to understand that it is important to take care of the body that God has given
What is Kesh?
Uncut hair
What is Kangha?
A wooden comb
What is a Kaccha?
A type of Sikh under-shorts
What is Kara?
an unadorned bracelet worn in the right hand
What is a Kirpan?
a sword
