Right to keep and bear arms
1st Amendment
Freedom of speech, press, religion, petition, assembly
3rd Amendment
No quartering of soldiers during peacetime
4th Amendment
Prohibits unreasonable searches. Requires warrants for probable causes
5th Amendment
Eminent Domain. Right to a jury and due process. Bans self incrimination and double jepoardy.
6th Amendment
Right to a speedy trial, attorney, confront accusers and obtain witnesses
7th Amendment
Right to a trial by jury in certain civil trials according to common law
8th Amendment
Prohibits excessive fines and cruel or unusual punishment
9th Amendment
Prohibits rights not enumerated in the constitution
10th Amendment
Reserved powers. Powers not granted to the federal government belong to the states.
11th Amendment
Immunity of states from lawsuits from out of state citizens and foreigners
12th Amendment
Revises presidential election procedures (President and Vice President on the same ticket), electoral college ties.
13th Amendment
Bans slavery
14th Amendment
Birthright citizenship, equal protection clause, due process clause.
15th Amendment
Right to vote cannot be denied based on color or race.
