Dollar Diplomacy
Dollar Diplomacy was a technique of using the money of the Country to increase the reputation of the country. This is a way to extend influence across the world.
Interstate Commerce Act
This put laws and regulations on the railroads across the united states. This prevented huge monopolies from destroying the industry.
Anthracite Coal Strike
This was a strike by coal miners for bad pay and work conditions. This increased wages and decreased working hours.
Socialism
The goal of socialism is to create a society where everyone has their own society and resources. However, this can lead to lazy people being rewarded like the hardworking, and can corrupt the country.
Bankruptcy
This is when the debt is so high, that people have to give up their assets and stop the financial trouble. While giving a fresh start, you do give up a lot, sometimes your whole company.
Federal Housing Administration
This allowed everyone to get a loan for a house, and gave people a house to live in. While you still had to pay debts, you had a chance.
Agricultural Adjustment Act
This act was to regulate agricultural prices, and by depleting some of the surplus of food. This prevented farmers from charging a mad amount, and it is one of the most successful of the New Deal.
Wagner Act
This is an act that let workers go on strikes or Unions, and allowed subordinates to stand up to their superiors. This establishment allowed workers to enter labor unions.
Collective Bargaining
people through their unions was tough, and they allowed negotiators to have a chance. The workers could talk about pay, hours, and more instead of being under complete control.
Dust Bowl
A problem with Agriculture when severe dust storms kill the land. This happened during the great depression, and this destroyed crops and cause erosion in the soil.
