denture stomatitis

Denture soak solution
containing benzoic acid is taken up into the
acrylic resin and can completely eradicate
C.albicans from the denture surface. Chlorhexidine gluconate can also eliminate C.albicans on the denture surface and a mouthwash can reduce the palatal inflammation

BRIEF MANAGEMENT OF APTHOUS ULCER

A

🔸Stress Management
🔸Avoid Spicy food - if mentioned by patient
🔸 GP referral - to rule out any nutritional deficiency
🔸Warm saline rinses
🔸 Good Oral Hygiene
🔸Benzydamine 1% gel topically, 2-3 hourly as necessary.
🔸Follow up in 14 days
🔸If doesn’t heal - Refer to Specialist as we consider it as SUSPICIOUS ULCER
