Corporate event
A corporate event can be defined as a gathering that is sponsored by a business for its employees, business partners, clients and/or prospective clients. These events can be for larger audiences such as conventions or smaller events like conferences, meetings
-Ex.: conference, meetings, trade shows/fairs, press conf., product launches, business dinners/banquets, retreat/team building, receptions, theme parties
private event
Private events are celebrations with family members and friends. Moments of a lifetime refer to those special events that often happen only once in a lifetime. These private events such as weddings, golden anniversaries and special birthdays are marked with special celebrations.
-Ex.: wedding, birthday, wedding anniversaries, family events
MICE
Meetings: - General term indicating the coming together of a number of people in one place, to confer or carry out a particular activity
Incentives: - is a tool for motivating people involved in an organization’s success – Employees, Dealers, Distributors, Salespeople, consultants, & last but not least, even key customers, it is also means of rewarding them for a job well done or excellent sale results
Conference - is a meeting of people who “confer” about a topic. A participatory meeting designed for discussion, fact-finding, problem solving and consultation. As compared with a congress, a conference is normally smaller in scale and more select in character - features which tend to facilitate the exchange of information.
Exhibitions: Events at which products & services are displayed.
Micheline guide
a series of guidebooks published by the French company Michelin for more than a century. The term normally refers to the annually published Michelin Red Guide, the oldest European hotel and restaurant reference guide, which awards Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. The acquisition or loss of a star can have dramatic effects on the success of a restaurant. Michelin also publishes a series of general guides to countries.

Literally means “putting in place” and refers to organizing and setting up all aspects of the event
